Is my Bluetooth device compatible?

First, look for your device in the list of supported sensors. If it isn’t there, you can check whether it streams live data over Bluetooth Low Energy, and send us the results so we can add support for it.

Check your device with LightBlue #

1. Install the free LightBlue app on your phone (iOS, Android). It lets you inspect Bluetooth LE devices.
2. Turn on your device and make sure it’s measuring (heart rate or SpO₂).
3. Open LightBlue. Your device should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices on the first screen.
4. Connect to the device.
5. Take a screenshot of the advertisement data, then scroll through the available services and take screenshots of those too.
6. Look for characteristics marked Notify (the possible values are Read, Write and Notify). Tap one and start the data stream: depending on your phone the button says Listen or Subscribe. Take screenshots.
7. If it works, you’ll see hexadecimal data coming from the device.
8. Export a log file.
